Should I break up with my boyfriend?

Hey everyone, this is Julia. I wanted to see if anyone else is able to relate to what I'm feeling right now. I have been with my boyfriend for two years. I started to lose hair a month ago and now my top hair has become thin. I am afraid to tell him the truth and can't get over some insecurities. I am seriously contemplating breaking up with him, but you know I love him. I think I can't get anyone else. Please help! What should I do?

Hi Julia. I am new to the hair loss community, as I am in the very beginning of stages of hair loss and trying to come to terms with it myself. However, I have been very vocal with sharing my “hair stress” with my closest friends and family, as I rely on them for support. And it turns out, most people know someone who has gone thru a sImilar issue, and have been very empathetic towards me and have even offered up some hair worthy tips. So I would encourage you to tell your boyfriend your current concerns, and allow him the opportunity to support you on this.....and don’t let your insecure thoughts ruin the possibility of something amazing!
And honestly, with all the types of helper hair available thru uniwigs, I am sure you will continue to look great, if not, even more beautiful. You can do this!!

That is good advice, MLM. It's not good to keep your concerns bottled up. An open discussion is the way to go.

And Julia, we women sometimes don't give our guys enough credit. A man of substance won't be obsessed about the thickness of your hair. Remember, our beauty comes from within and self assured confidence can be our ace in the hole. You go girl!
