Hello there,
I am Cathy and I have extremely thin hair.
Whew, at the same time, that is embarrassing and freeing to say. I didn't always have this thin of hair. My hair was always fine and straight but you couldnt see my scalp. With the birth of each of my 3 children my hair thinned out so much worse.
I have lived my adult life with people looking above my eyes at my balding scalp then back at me with a mix of embarrassment and some form of sadness or disgust (or possibly guilt for staring at my scalp).
And I have to stand there and smile, and do my best to try and ignore it or bust them out for staring and try to explain it. Either way I'd just rather run and hide and just not be seen.
In addition to having uber thin hair my scalp runs very hot so wearing wigs is not comfortable.
I have never spoken about this to anyone, I like many others I'm sure, just do my best to hide it. Always nervous that I will have a gap of scalp showing through somewhere.
So, I have to hope that wearing a topper is going to be my chance at normalcy.
