Wash our own hair is normal and very easy, right? Actually, there're lots of people who lack some information about hair washing hacks, especially when it comes to wearing a wig. Knowing some tips and tricks could extend the lifespan of our hair.

First, water temperature?

What do you think is the best option to wash your hair? Cold, hot, extremely hot, Lukewarm, which one is the best? The answer is lukewarm.

Lots of people will use cold water to wash their hair, this is such a bad way. Warm water will open up your hair cuticle and it will release the dirty easier.

Second, how harsh or how gentle you should be washing your hair?

If you chose gently, you'd be correct. A lot of people rub and tangle up their hair when washing their hair. It would be feeling good when you matting your hair together. However, this will cause breakage of your hair, when you rough up the hair cuticle too much, you could be losing hair that you don't need to lose at that time.

Go side to side motion gently, instead of round-to-round motion. About the gentle motion, it doesn't mean that you do like a touch a baby's head, just rub your head side to side with the shampoo.

Third, when you wash your hair, which parts of your hair should you be washing?

The scalp only? the scalp and ends? the ends only?

If you chose scalp only, you'd be correct. You may think the hair ends should be washed because it's dirty and oil. Actually, the oil comes from your scalp.

When you shampoo your scalp with a nice amount, rub gently.

How much shampoo we should be using? Well, that base on the hair volume and length. Go with the normal amount you use.

Fourth, how often should I wash my hair?

Should I wash my hair once a week? Everyday? Or once a month? There's not exactly the same answer.

If you have extremely oily hair, you can go to wash your hair every single day. If you don't have time to wash your hair, you can use dry shampoo to make your hair stop producing so many oils.

So, you can choose to wash your hair anytime, just to make sure that your hair isn't oily and keep hydrated. Once a week or twice a week would be good. All those depend on your feeling for your hair.

Fifth, how long you should be living your conditioner on?

For 30 seconds? 3 minutes? 10 minutes? Or 15 minutes?

This will wary per person. Usually, we recommend leaving it on as long as possible, then get your hair washed.

We have to do conditioner because it gives hair essential hydrate of our hair and brings it back to life.

When you get out of the shower, don't take the towel to scrub your head with it. Just use the towel to softly to absorb the water from your hair.

Sixth, use hair care products after washing.

After you do the shampoo and condition process, you want to use some things when you dry your hair.

Use some oils for your naturally straight hair, especially curly hair.

Protectant spray is definitely a necessary product you should be using in order to keep your hair at healthy as possible.
