Cutting wigs??

Do you recommend taking a wig to be styled at a salon? And how easy would it be to add bangs to wigs with middle parts? Is it even possible to readjust in that way? Would it just take the application of heat tools? And if so, will that potentially melt the lace? What temperature might you ladies (and maybe gents?) recommend?

Thanks!

I think it is important to style a wig when we recive a wig, I recommend you to style it at salon, they will give you professional sevice and advice. Also you can style it yourself next time .

I do cut my own toppers but have better results from a salon. The only salon i can get to cut mine are quite a drive away so if I'm too busy I'll cut and style them myself.

If it's just bangs I would wet the hair and use hairdryer on medium heat to redirect the part so the hair falls to the front and trim where I want the bangs to be. Temperature would depend on whether you have synthetic or human hair.

In my experience (In the UK) unless a stylist us familiar with wigs/hairpieces they usually need to be advised of things like how to redirect knots and consider how to style based on how the unit fits.
