Dark wig or Light wig, which color do you like best?

All my toppers are G4 apart from one which is custom ombre (dark root to medium brown and dark blonde on the ends) which didn't suit me very well! There are a lot of colours available in blonde in the toppers or brunette with blonde highlights but not as much in browns? Particularly the...

    Hi everyone!

Hi Jerri, I live in northern England it's really windy here too! I used Got2Be glued spiking gel. I spread a blob on the very top centre of my head before i clip topper on and once it dries it really holds. It's water based too so just washes off your head once topper has been removed. If that...

Timing - when to tell someone new in your life that you wear a topper?

Hi I completely understand! When I first bought a topper I had it for weeks before I dared to wear it. I still get a bit of that same anxiety with new toppers (particularly if a different colour/style). I must say I'm not in the same situation as my hair loss started when I was about 6 months...

    Hi everyone

Hi Sandi, I'm from the UK too (north east) and also have a Bella in mid brown G4 (two in fact, I've just upgraded as growing my bio hair!). Your hair loss sounds quite similar to mine and I've found uniwigs toppers to be really fab since I started wearing them last year. Personally I just feel...

    Extending topper life...

Hi, thanks for replying, and the suggestion. I tried a tresseme heat protestant a while back but felt it didn't make much difference. Don't know if it was just the brand not too good. I'm trying to wash less as I know that's what kills them in the end! Managed to get to two weeks this time...

    Extending topper life...

Hi, How long does everyone's topper last? I'm a daily wearer of human hair toppers (Bella/Amber) and find they get really dry and start becoming damaged after around 4/5 months. I wash my topper every week to ten days, sulphate free shampoo and deep conditioner, air dry and then flat iron on...

    Topper Versatility

Hi Anna, I'm a topper wearer too due to thinning and patchy hair loss. So glad you mentioned about rotating your pieces I've been a topper wearer for over a year now and I'm just discovering this may be how to keep them nice longer?! I do get that "new unit anxiety" though as I'm not an 'out'...

    Cutting wigs??

I do cut my own toppers but have better results from a salon. The only salon i can get to cut mine are quite a drive away so if I'm too busy I'll cut and style them myself. If it's just bangs I would wet the hair and use hairdryer on medium heat to redirect the part so the hair falls to the...

    I need recommendations

Hi, if you're finding the curly/wavy ones are too curly and not loose enough you could get a straight style and pincurl or use curlformers or rollers overnight. I do this to my toppers to stop them looking too straight and more like a blow dry.

Me: 33 years old. From UK. 11 years hair loss veteran. Topper wearer: Claire was my starter, then Amber, currently wearing Bella in 18 inch G4 straight. I also have a Belletress synthetic (that itches!).

    Hi

Hi everyone, I've had hair loss for nearly 12 years now that first started in my early 20's. Struggled with sew in and clip in extensions (and lots of eyeshadow to hide the patches!) Until about a year ago when i found uniwigs and toppers. They have made a big difference but have also been a...
